Michael Alexeev is the Professor of Economics at Indiana University in Bloomington. He received my PhD in Economics from Duke University in 1984. His research interests lie in the fields of institutional economics, tax policy, fiscal federalism, resource economics, and the Russian economy. He has also been actively involved in supporting human rights in Russia
and some other countries of the former USSR.
