As an indefatigable fighter against lawlessness of the Putin regime, Alexey set the moral example for his countrymen.

Alexey was a man of an astonishing range of talents. He was a political leader first and foremost. He was a journalist, an investigator, an editor who raised a generation of investigative reporters who will continue to haunt Putin and his gang of kleptocrats at every turn.

Alexey understood that the new battle lines in humanity’s struggle against fascism run through Ukraine, and today is the day and to commit to supporting that country’s struggle.
